Google Pixel 9 has dropped some pretty cool AI features, but we can’t have enough of them. On September 4, Google launched the Pixel 9 series and showcased them, hyping up our expectations from the devices. With enough time with the Pixel 9, here are our top nine AI features you have to try.

Ever since Google launched the Pixel 9 series, fans and tech enthusiasts have waited to get their hands on the AI features. Thanks to Google, we, too, got the chance to explore all the AI features on the Pixel 9 in detail. A few of what impressed us all were the “Reimagine and Add Me” features. 1. Fixing photos using Auto-Frame
The first feature that stood out to me was the “Auto-Frame” feature. During our trip to Majnu ka Tila, we had tons of blasts exploring different cafes, cuisines, and, of course, different photos. And while not all photos are perfect, the Auto-frame feature does get them pretty close to perfection. The samples below are before-and-after photos taken using the Auto-Frame AI feature.
2. Reimagine Reality
One of my favourite features, which I explored to my heart’s content, was the “Reimagine” feature on the Google Pixel 9. Whether you want to turn a can of Coke into a chilled beer or a bottle into a pen stand, this feature has it all. 4. Conversing with Gemini Live
Gemini Live is a game-changer for those who want a more natural and interactive AI assistant experience. This feature, available to Gemini Advanced subscribers, allows for free-flowing conversations with Gemini, even when your screen is locked. You can interrupt or pause interactions and resume later, making it feel more like talking to a real person. Gemini Live can help with tasks like planning a trip, brainstorming ideas, or even composing emails and messages.
5. Add Me
The “Add Me” feature is a clever solution for group photography. It uses augmented reality and AI to merge two photos seamlessly, ensuring everyone is included in the shot without needing a tripod or asking a stranger for help. Simply take a photo of your friends, hand the phone to another person, and the phone will guide them to the correct position to take their photo, which is then merged with the original.
6. Pixel Studio
Pixel Studio is a new app that lets you create illustrations based on text prompts. Using an on-device diffusion model, you can generate artwork by describing what you want to see. This feature requires an internet connection but offers a creative outlet for users who want to explore their artistic side without needing extensive drawing skills.
7. Screenshot Hub
The Pixel Screenshots feature is another innovative tool that uses AI to capture and analyze screenshots. You can take screenshots of important information, such as a planned gathering or a dinner recipe, and later search for that information through a conversational interface. This feature makes it easy to recall details from your screenshots without having to manually search through them.
8. Weather App
The new Pixel Weather app is enhanced with AI to provide more accurate and detailed weather forecasts. It goes beyond traditional weather reporting by giving you precise information on when the rain is expected to start or stop, making it a valuable tool for planning your day23.
9. Summarizing With Gemini
Gemini can now generate summaries of phone calls and web pages, helping you recall important details more easily. For phone calls, Gemini will transcribe and summarize the conversation, ensuring you don’t miss crucial information like phone numbers or appointments. For web pages, Gemini can summarize long articles or videos, providing you with the key points without having to read or watch the entire content.
